Kisling, Nestico & Redick launches the Don’t Text & Drive Scholarship

In recent times, the number of road accidents resulting from texting and driving has been on the rise. Most of the crashes resulting from texting and driving are deadly. An Ohio-based law firm, Kisling, Nestico & Redick recently announced that it would be joining the fight against texting and driving. This law firm said that it had started an annual scholarship program, KNR Don’t Text & Drive Scholarship that’s aimed at promoting safe driving. This firm hopes that through this scholarship program it could be able to persuade young adults not to text while driving.

While making this announcement, Kisling, Nestico & Redick also reveal the winner of its first scholarship winner under its KNR Don’t Text & Drive program, 18-year-old Elianna Norin of Hudson. Elianna Norin received this scholarship worth $5000 for developing the best proposal to persuade young adults to desist from texting while driving. According to Josh Angelotta, a senior partner at this Ohio-based law firm, Norin’s application stood out from the more than 400 that the firm received thanks to her creativity. He stated that her public service announcement was also unique and that’s why Kisling, Nestico & Redick so it fit to award her with the scholarship.

While receiving this scholarship, Elianna Norin pointed out that she will continue building awareness within her community and among her friends on the dangers of distracted driving. She mentioned that the problem was growing increasingly concerning and it was time everyone joined hands before it was too late. Norin also passed his vote of thanks to Kisling, Nestico & Redick for taking the initiative to stand against this vice. She added that she hoped to see the KNR Don’t Text & Drive Scholarship grow and allow young people to become ambassadors for safe driving.
