From the mind of Adam Milstein and the folks of the Adam and Gila Milstein Foundation comes a very interesting type of competition. They have teamed up with more than 12 other Jewish and pro-Israel groups to host a meme competition! The competition is currently open worldwide and invites anything who would like to participate as a “meme creator” or “meme artist” to submit a pro-Israel meme to the competition. Participants can submit up to five memes to the competition to be judged. Adam Milstein’s goal with the competition is to create memes that resonate with the younger generations who express themselves so throroughly through that medium. This competition is a lighter way to express thought and generate dialogue about Jewish and pro-Israel issues. There is no strict outline for submission – people are encouraged to take any tone that appeals to them, whether it may be comical or dramatic, topical or historical.
The competition will be open until Thursday August 3rd and judging will be open worldwide via Facebook. All memes are judged based on Facebook reactions such as “like” “love” “laugh” “angry,” etc. As a secondary goal of the competition, there will be a stash of pro-Israel memes developed that can be used over time to continually provide meme content that resonates with Millenialls and Gen Z.
Following the public judging, finalists will be judged by 6 well known pro-Israel activists and cash prizes will be awarded to the winners. The cash prizes will total $2,000.
Anyone and everyone is encouraged to enter and have your thoughts and voice heard through the Adam Milstein Meme Competition. You can simply visit www.milsteinmemes.org to enter.
